Cheetah is 6 years old – male cat. He does not get castration. The owner told he just was bitten from homeless cat. He did not get vaccination for many years ago so, the owner gets worried about him a lot because the owner cannot remember when he had ever gotten vaccination at the last time, then Cheetah was taken to iVET animal hospital.

Veterinarian’s physical examination found superficial wounds at neck area and deep wounds at back ears. His respiratory and heart rates are normal. He can walk in normal gait and position, but he has heavy weight.
Veterinarian shaves his coat around the wound for wound dressing by cleaning with normal saline until the wound is cleaned and apply topical antibiotic ointment and give him oral antibiotics and anti-inflammations to control bacterial secondary infection. For anti-Rabies vaccinating, He needs to booster the vaccination once a week for 4 weeks.

Rabies is a viral disease that spreads through the bite of an infected animal. When dogs or cats are bitten by other animals that they don’t have clearly vaccinated history, your pets got anti-Rabies vaccine for a long time (more than 6 months).
